Syksyn 2020 Suomi-koulupäivät / The Finnish School dates for the Fall semester 2020

Meillä on ilo ilmoittaa että, Suomi-koulu starttaa jälleen lokakuussa!

Suomikoulu kokoontuu syksyn aikana kuusi kertaa, laittakaahan kalenteriin seuraavat päivät:

• 3. lokakuuta
• 17. lokakuuta
• 31. lokakuuta
• 7. marraskuuta
• 28 marraskuuta
• 12. joulukuuta

Jotta saisimme oppilasryhmät muodostettua mahdollisimman pian, toivomme
että lähetätte oppilaiden ilmoittautumislomakkeet meille viimeistään
22.syyskuuta.

Suomi-koulussa on myös kevään ja kesän aikana tapahtunut muutoksia, joista
haluamme kaikille vanhemmille ilmoittaa:

Opettajakunta
Anna Maeda on jäänyt toistaiseksi pois Suomi-koulun toiminnasta ja vastaavan opettajan pestiä hoitaa tällä hetkellä Heidi Salmela. Myös muita opettajia on lähtenyt Suomi-koulusta mutta ilmoitamme uusista tulokkaista vielä myöhemmin lisää.

TIS Health & Safety Protocol
Suomi-koulu kokoontuu normaalin tapaan Tokyo International Schoolin (TIS)
tiloissa. Koronavirus-tilanteen vuoksi, Tokyo International Schoolilla on
käytössään uusi Health & Safety Protokolla, jota Suomi-koulun tulee myös
noudattaa:

• Kaikkien lasten terveydentila pitää raportoida Suomi-koululle, ennen kouluun saapumista. Tähän tarkoitukseen tulemme kehittämään sähköisen "terveyskortin", joka tulee täyttää koulupäivän aamuna. Kortissa tullaan kysymään mm. onko lapsella kuumetta, kurkkukipua tai päänsärkyä. Mikäli, lapsella on mitään kortissa olevista oireista, lapsi ei saa saapua Suomi-kouluun.
• Suomi-kouluun ei myoskaan saa tulla lapset, joiden perheissä (esim. vanhemmilla tai sisaruksilla) on esiintynyt oireita tai jos perheen jäsenistä joku on matkustanut Japanin ulkopuolella kahta viikko ennen Suomi-koulua.
• TIS:in tiloihin ei tällä hetkellä Suomi-koulu päivinäkään pääse vanhemmat, joten lapset tullaan noutamaan ja hakemaan TIS:in ulkoportilta.

Lähetämme ylläolevasta TIS Health Protokollasta vielä erikseen viestiä kaikille ja meihin saa olla yhteydessä jos on jotain kysyttävää.

We are very happy to announce that the Fall semester at the Finnish School in Tokyo will kick off in October.

As usual, there will be six school days during the Fall semester. The dates are as listed below:

•  October 3
•  October 17
•  October 31
•  November 7
•  November 28
•  December 12

We would appreciate it if all parents could submit the application form for the fall semester as soon as possible, but no later than September 22.

The Finnish School in Tokyo would also like to inform all parents regarding the following:

Teachers
Unfortunately Anna Maeda had to temporarily leave the Finnish School and currently Heidi Salmela acts as the Head Teacher. We will notify you further regarding other staff changes at a later date.

TIS Health & Safety Protocol
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak, The Finnish School in Tokyo is required to follow the Tokyo International School Health & Safety Protocol. The main changes are as below:

• Parents must submit a health card for each student on every school morning before arriving at the school. We are looking to create a health card that can be filled out and submitted online (the health card will include a questionnaire regarding the health of the students e.g. fever, sore throat, headache). If any student has symptoms listed in the health card, the student is not allowed to participate in Finnish School classes nor enter the TIS campus for that day.
• Students whose family members (e.g. parents or siblings) have any of the symptoms or have travelled outside of Japan two weeks prior to a class date may not enter the TIS facility.
• No parents are allowed to enter the TIS Campus. Students will be picked up and sent off at the TIS outside gate.
